The Need for Salvation
We believe that all humanity is born in sin as a result of the sin of Adam in the beginning (Romans 5:12). Because of this, mankind was in need of a Savior and Redeemer. The blood of animals could not take away sin (Hebrews 10:4), and there was no sinless man who could make atonement for humanity.
God Revealed in Jesus Christ
God, the invisible Spirit (John 4:24), provided Himself a body. That body is the man Jesus Christ, who is the visible person of God (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus, the only sinless man, was crucified and became the sacrifice and redemption for all mankind (Romans 5:19).
The Plan of Salvation
We believe we are saved from sin not simply because Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, but by obeying the message preached by the Apostle Peter in Acts 2:38. The Bible teaches that we must: Repent (death to sin), Be baptized in Jesus’ Name (burial – Romans 6:4), and Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection – Romans 6:4)
The Indwelling Spirit
By receiving the Holy Ghost, or Spirit of Christ, it becomes “Christ in us, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). If the Spirit of Christ dwells in us, we will be caught up to meet Him in the air at His return for His church (Romans 8:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17), and we will ever be with the Lord.
Living a Life Set Apart
By receiving this experience and living a life separated from the world unto God (2 Corinthians 6:17), we prepare ourselves for that glorious day when He who shall come will come and will not tarry (Hebrews 10:37). Our goal is to spend eternity with the One who died for us in His kingdom.
